Rick founded Takara Bead – years ago. He’s a retired postal worker that helped out a friend in the bead business and long story short... Takara Bead was born. He is the proud father of 3 kids and 2 grandkids. He likes to do all the little things to make the employees happy and if someone is running low on coffee he’s right there with a hot, fresh pot.

Rick was in charge of sales and as most of you know, he is a delight to talk with. Leading the sales force has been his expertise. He enjoys letting you know the joy it has been owning this business and within a half hour … you’re hooked … and lifelong friends. He thrived as our salesman and if you’ve worked at a show with him, I’m sure he did his best in bring every single person by your booth just to show them how great your products are.

Now, Rick is spending time away from the office, but he is still up to date on what is happening at work. Rick is our treasure hunter. He is always on a quest for new products to add to our lines. At every meeting he has a few items he wants to add to our web site. If you have a great idea and want to see what we think, Rick is the salesman that would try and get the deal sold, even to us.

Rick is a city boy turned country. He continues to learn something new about what certain animals do and what to watch out for in the future. He is very excited for our new arrival of a litter of 5 kittens. He takes the role of proud parent to each and every living creature at home. In that same manor he feels the same way toward his company loving to see it mature.
